MAZ 543V is a prototype chassis with a payload of 19.6 tonnes which was the predcessor of MAZ 543M. It differes from MAZ 543 / 543A by a single 2-seat cabin shifted to the left, instead of two cabins. The length of the cab was increased by 2 meters.
Curb weight and GVW was similar to 543A (21 tonnes and 40,8 tonnes, respectively). Fuel tanks capacity was increased to 740 liters, range - to 875 km. During 3 years, MAZ made 233 copies of 543V. All of them used for factory and government tests, but never went to service.
