Atkinson » Mk I with Taylor Hull cab

The only original model available only in New Zealand was the Mk I with fiberglass cab made by a local company Taylor Hull Fibreglass Products Ltd. The cabin won award at an annual design contest of the New Zealand plastics industry. Only the door handles were of non-local origin. These cabins could be mounted on any chassis - from 4x2 tractors to 8x4 dump trucks. The main engine for NZ models was 335 bhp Cummins connected with 13-speed gearbox Roadranger. Standard equipment included Jacobs engine brake, power steering ZF and Firestone tires.
