In 1985, the light series Unimog has been refreshed. It received the 407 index and got a cabin from the 424-435 series, which combined with the old rounded hood. There were U600 / U650 and U650L models. These trucks were equipped with 4 cylinder 2.4 liters OM 616 diesel engines with an output of 52/60 hp. Maximum speed was 67 and 77 km/h, respectively.
