The construction versions of Actros MP3 range was presented in Hanover in 2008. There are some differences between construction and road versions: the rear mirrors case made of unbreakable plastic with checker texture, engine and fuel tank have a steel protection, the cabin has a handrail on the top to look into the body, working lights are mounted behind the cab, cabin`s steps have rubber brackets (instead of steel), and the headlights received steel grille (instead of plastic). The trucks are equipped also with a new automatic transmission PowerShift-2. Inside the cabin, there are rubber rugs and pull out passenger seat: if there is only a driver in the cab, he can get out through the right door. Engines meet the Euro4/Euro5 standards. In addition to automatic transmissions, the new Actros MP3 Bau could be equipped with a manual Telligent gearbox.
