Mack » WS760LST Gas Turbine Truck

Late '70s was the peak of popularity of gas turbine trucks. Mack also experimented with such engines. This way the concept WS760LST Gas Turbine Truck came to light. The truck was constructed on the basis of a serial cabover model WA CruiseLiner, but was equipped with a gas turbine model GT601 with power of 550 hp. The engine was designed by Mack Trucks - Industrial Turbines International A Consortium of the Garett Co. The truck was tested in the period 1980-1986 years. Then it was transferred to the Mack museum, where you can see it in present days.
