Kenworth » T650 / T658 / T659
Together with the presentation of the aerodynamic version T600 a> in 1987, the classical model T650 was shown. The truck was designed for a wide range of works on various surfaces. T650 was equipped with Cummins, Caterpillar or Detroit Diesel engines. The front axle is shifted back (configuration set-back). Daycab and 36" or 50" sleeper cabs are available. In 2008, the truck was updated and gets received the index T658. The model has got a new dashboard and new engines with output to 625 hp. The front axle is shifted back by another 25 mm to improve maneuverability. Another updating of the model came in 2010, according to the Kenworth`s updating model range Defining Tomorrow. The trucks received the index T659, Cummins ISX EGR engines or Signature EGR with output up to 615 hp, (engines meet ADR 80/03 requirements), a larger 7” exhaust as standard, new trim colours and new doors.
