At the MIMS-2005 in Moscow Urals showed the prototype of a long-distance conventional tractor Ural 6464 designed to work in combinations with GCVW of up to 62.5 tonnes. The old licensed IVECO cabin was combined with a huge bonnet made from Finnish material Reichold.

There are two comfortable beds and seats with individual air suspensions inside the cab. The list of equipment included an air conditioning, refrigerator, TV and radio. A high roof allows you to stand inside in full growth.

The Ural 6464 prototype was equipped with YaMZ-7511 Euro 2 diesel with an output of 400 horsepower. It is joined with a 9-speed manual gearbox YaMZ-239. Suspension is dependent: front — on parabolic springs, rear — on semi-elliptic springs. Steering gear is made by German company RBL. Curb weight of the tractor is 9900 kilograms. Wheel configuration is 6x4. Overall dimensions of the tractor are 8050x2500x3195 mm.

The list of equipment included ABS, Webasto tire pressure monitoring system, Eberspacher heater, Separ fuel filter, Webasto sunroof, heated and powered mirrors. The factory planned to set up a serial production of the Ural 6464 but could only made several prototypes.
