Ural 5323-03 (or Ural 532303) was developed and produced according to the order of Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation. It is featured with an armored cabin. The first prototype was made in 2000, production started in 2002 with 5 copies.

The truck is equipped with YAMZ 238B diesel and explosion-proof fuel tanks. The welded armored cabin weights 2 tonnes and has an armor thinkness of 8 mm. The armor windows thickness is 33 mm. The cabin is able to protect from the 7.62 mm gun while firing at the stop, from a bullet B-32 caliber of 7.62 mm — with a distance of 300-400 m, as well as from fragments weighing up to 5 g.

Ural 532303 cab be used to transport military goods, personnel staff and tow trailers. The chassis is used as the base for mounting special van bodies and military equipment.
