The medium-duty DFAC Dorica D9 (多利卡D9) trucks with a payload of 7.5-11.6 tonnes was unveiled as a prototype DFAC Dorica XL in January 2014. The early models were equipped with Tricyclic T260 cabins. One year later, in 2015, Dorica D9 got a new more comfortable cabin made by Xiaobian. Its width is 2315 mm, internal width —2123 mm. The cabin is available only with a sleeper compartment.
The number '9' means the limited length of this model is 9 meters with a length of the cargo platform is 6.8 meters. There is a choice of engines: Dongfeng Cummins ISD160 (160 hp), ISB180 (180 hp) and Yuchai YC4 (170-185 hp). The gearbox is 6- or 8-speed manual.
