The aerodynamics model T609 was updated in 2011 model year together with other Kenworth models. The bolder grille is now lower, allowing air to flow more freely around a wider, more contoured engine compartment. Completing the picture is more muscular wheel arches and streamlined side fairings. The cab is quieter with enhanced noise and heat shielding and there is a wider landing step for better visibility on exiting the cab. The T609 ADR 80/03 engine options include Cummins ISX and Signature cooled EGR with integrated DPF, and ratings up to 615 peak hp and 2050ftlb torque. The new automatic transmission Eaton Ultrashift Plus is available now.
