Offroad Sobol-Business has successfully finished at the rally-raid "Silk Way"

"Sobol BUSINESS" race truck, created on the basis of GAZ-23107 SUV, has successfully overcome the most difficult rally-raid "Silk Way 2012". Light commercial vehicle "Sobol" took part in the rally as a part of a magazine team "Za rulem". Driver is Vyacheslav Subbotin and navigator is Ramil Zamaletdinov. This is a well-organized and experienced crew who has already participated in the "Silk Road" rally-raids and other major automotive events.

"Sobol" race truck was highly modified, while retaining all of the major components of production vehicle. The engine is Cummins ISF 2.8 shifted back for better weight distribution along the axes. Its capacity of 150 hp allows the car to reach a top speed of 150 km/h. In addition to the inter-axle lockable differential and downshift, which are standard equipment of the offroad Sobol, race truck has front and rear axles lockable differentials. A clutch was enhanced to operate in extreme conditions. There are no other major changes. The works were made by Ulyanovsk automobile repair plant, which has extensive experience in construction of sport offroad vehicles. Michlin as a partner of the team was made several tests of different models of tires and chose Michelin Latitude Cross 7,5/100R16C. Ground clearance of the vehicle is 260 mm.
