In 1935 the 2.5 ton model E1 was presented. A distinctive feature of this model was tilted radiator. In 1937, the payload was increased to 2.75 tons and truck received the index E2. In 1939-44 about 2 thousand refined commercial 3-ton trucks and buses E3000 with 70-horsepower diesel engine were produced by MAN.
