One of such company was Gilmore Oil Co., which ordered in 1934 a special tanker truck on Mack BM chassis. It is unknown who made this modification, but the official information booklet said that the modifications (including adding a third axis) were made by a "local concern". Capacity of tank - 2200 gallons. Total weight - 13500 kg. The truck was supposed to go to ad tour through the major cities of the north-west United States. To do this, it was equipped with neon lighting, which reportedly "will be removed after the tour". Backlight colors were blue, green and orange. Power of the lights was provided by small generators placed on the motor under the hood. The cost of modification, including special cab, radiator, hood, tank, etc. - $4850.
