Mack » D-series

In 1955, a new city delivery truck series D was presented. One of the very interesting features of this truck was an access to the engine. Cabin is not unfold as on the other trucks, but climbed straight up on hydraulic lifts. From 1955 until early 1956 the first generation of the D range was produced. It was equipped with a simple rectangular grille. From 1956 to 1958 the second generation was produced. It differed by more elegantly decorated grille, other emblems and windows in rear corners of the cabin. Vehicles offered as a two or three-axle chassis with GVW of 9-12,5 tons, as well as truck tractors with GCVW of 18-24 tons. There were D20, D30, D42 and D44 models. Totally 832 truck of series D were made.
