In 2016, the Ural Automobile Plant made several copies of the Ural-Next support vehicles for the "GAZ Raid Sport" rally raid racing team. They debuted at the "Silk Road 2016" rally raid.

The 6x6 chassis with an extended cab was used as a basis that got a van body with various equipment and a compartment for spare parts. The developers also made changes to the ECU of the YaMZ-536 diesel and transmission, so that the truck can now reach maximum speed up to 120 kph off-road.

Other improvements: foreign bearings and stronger gears of transfer case and axles, and chassis details of vacuum-melting steel with special heat treatment. Elements of the transmission were carefully balanced. Tires are Michelin. The volume of fuel tanks is increased: now they contain 600 liters of diesel fuel.
