Ural » 377

Ural 377 is a 6x4 truck with a payload of 7.5 tonnes. Its development started in 1958, together with the base AWD model Ural 375. The prototypes successfully passed factory and government tests in 1961-1964. Mass production started in 1965 with 178 trucks Ural 377 and 50 tractors Ural 377S were made.

The new Ural 377 featured unshielded electrical equipment, the transfer case without drive to the tube type front axle, 6,5-20 wheels with 12,00-20 tires. Spare tire was mounted horizontally under the cargo platform. Ural 377 was fitted with an all-metal cabin from the very beginning. Ural 377 borrowed many parts from Ural 375. That's why the ratio of payload and curb weight was lower than that of the MAZ-500 and ZIL-133. The length of cargo platform was shorter, and it was mounted higher. 1983 became the last year of production for Ural 377.
