MAZ 7923 'Bizon' prototype was unified with the Model 7922 and was future development of the Model 547E and Model 7907 with gas-turbin engines and electric drive.
It was fitted with an updated electric-manual powertrain TE-700-16, consisted of a gas-turbine tank engine GTD-1000A with an output of 1000 hp (from the Model 547E) and updated generator unit VSG-625M (from the 7907). The energy from it was transferred to electric motors DKM-180-63 (motor-wheels) rated at 30 kW each. They have oil cooling. MAZ 7923 passed factory tests, but all development works were closed in 1991.
