The 35-ton MAZ 7929 10x8 chassis was developed to be a base for a new intercontinental missile complex 15P159 'Courier'. The 5-axe chassis uses units from the models 543M and 7909. It has an additional non-driven axle and original 3-seat cabin with the welded frame and fiberglass exterior panels. As the model 7909, the 7929 is fitted with a YAMZ 8424.10 420 hp engine, 9-speed manual gearbox and updated drivetrain from the model 543. Curb weight — 25 tonnes, GVW — 60 tonnes. Overall dimensions — 15,180x3400x3462 mm. 4 prototypes were made till 1991.
