DAF » CF 1st generation

In 2000, a new CF model range was introduced to replace the old 65CF, 75CF and 85CF models. The new lineup included CF65, CF75 and CF85 models with new cabins. GVW of CF65 is 18 tonnes, CF75 and CF85 - from 18 to 32 tonnes.

The only thing that resembles the interior of the predecessor is a high engine tunnel in the middle of the cab. But everything else is brand new. DAF CF became the first DAF's model with disk brakes for all wheels, of course, with EBS. Design of the cabin is unified with the "big brother" 95XF. Cabin became longer by 14 cm, there is a new version Space Cab with high roof with floor to ceiling dimension of 185 cm. The lower bed became wider (70 cm), softer (the thickness of the mattress is12, and on request - 15 cm) and rose above. It is comfortable not only to lie, but to sit also. Under the bed and over the head appeared large storage compartments: they volume in Space Cab reaches 900 liters. DAF CF trucks can be equipped with several different cabins. Day Cab has a length of 1770 mm, its height is 1600 mm. Sleeper Cab with a single bed has a length of 2200 millimeters. And the third cab is already mentioned Space Cab. It has two full beds and a length of 2230 millimeters. The designers have done a lot of work to reduce noise and vibration inside the cabin. A four-point air suspension of the cabin supplemented by shock absorbers with large cross-slope and stabilizer bar.

Because the DAF CF is available in three basic versions (65, 75, 85) and can be not only a tractor, but also tipper and big truck, it can be equipped with 3 variants of engines. The most powerful (12.6 liters, 340-430 hp) borrowed from the flagship 95XF. The engine next engine is weaker and has 9.2-liter capacity and power of 250-360 bhp. And finally, the lightest versions are equipped with Cummins engine (5.9 liters, 185-250 hp) with common rail system. Initially only manual transmission with a traditional lever was available. But later automatic transmission was also available.
