In the mid-70s production of a 10-ton multi-purpose truck RM6866SX (6x6) with a 3 place cabin and removable top, a metal flatbed, and a kran was launched. In the basic version, the truck was equipped with a 300-horsepower turbocharged diesel EME6 engine and a 5-speed gearbox, but as an option more powerful 250-350 hp engines were available.
