KZKT » 7428 "Rusich"
25 years after the production of MAZ 537 had started, KZKT prepared a new model of the 4th generation - KZKT 7428. The main feature was a new engine and cabin. The haulers were fitted with YAMZ 8401.10 V12 (25.86 liters, 650 hp) turbocharged diesel. KZKT 7428 got a new all-metal 6-place cabin with a high roof, hatch and 3-piece windshield. It has only 2 doors. The rear doors were just imitation. There are two individual sprung seats in front (for the driver and crew commander) and 4 seats in the rear for the crew.
KZKT 7428 semi tractor without a winch was the base version in the range. Production started in 1988. Maximum load on the 5th wheel - 27 tonnes. Overall length - 10060 mm, height - 3060 mm. Curb weight - 23.7 tonnes, GVW - 50.7 tonnes, GCVW - 93.7 tonnes. Maximum speed - 65 kph. Fuel consumption - 125 liters per 100 km. Range - 1500 km. Other technical characteristics were similar to MAZ 537. There was another version - KZKT 74281 equipped with a 15-tonnes winch. KZKT 74282 was the ballast tractor with a 3.2 meters cargo platform. The next version was KZKT 74283 with the 5th wheel shifted back by 345 mm.
Another versions: KZKT 74284 - semi tractor to work in a combination with active trailers (prototype). KZKT 74286 - civil semi tractor with YAMZ 240NM2 500 hp engine. KZKT 74287 - sime trailer to work in combintaions with GCVW up to 90 tonnes. Has additional 420 liters fuel tanks and other features.
