PC "Riat" in conjunction with the "KamAZ", "Off-Road Transport Systems" and the MSTU Baumann by request of PC "Gazprom" has developed and launched the first prototype of special truck "KamAZ-Polar". Four-axle truck on huge wheels with low-pressure tires has been designed for hauling of massive technological devices in gas and oil industry, construction and operation of pipelines and power lines, both on roads and in off-road conditions. Its GVW can reach 30 tons (14 tons of payload), it is able to overcome 1.5 meters ford and develops up to 50 km/h. "Kamaz-Polarnik" is equipped with power shaft for different equipment, automatic centralized lubrication system, winch and a towing device.
