Beifang Benchi has updated old Mercedes-Benz SK one more time

The Chinese company Beifang Benchi, also known as the North Benz, for nearly 15 years produces heavy duty trucks with cabins and power units produced under the license from Mercedes-Benz. The company tried to hide an old age of this truck with a slight restyling. Trucks received a new grille, stylish side fenders and a new bumper with headlights in a style of Mercedes-Benz Actros.

I don't mind the older SK cab. It's a solid and proven design. But it's a pity how North Benz's quality has dramatically fallen. The quality of assembly, and parts quality is no longer acceptable. Take a look a new one that's been outside longer than a week. The heart of the problem is money. They don't have any. North Benz is a very small truckbuilder with limited funding. They didn't enjoy the sales success of most other Chinese truckmakers during the recent prosperous years in China. They have to cut corners because they just don't have any money (compared to CNHTC, Dongfeng and FAW). Realistically, it's time for them to pull the plug.
