Ermak - new agroculture truck from GAZ Group

At the XIII Russian agroindustrial exhibition Agrotech-2011 GAZ Group introduced a new family of vehicles for agricultural purposes with GVW from 3.5 to 6 tonnes, which was called Ermak. This range is designed according the special requirements agricultural vehicles, providing a good cross-country and non-cohesive soils ability, which is achieved by high-clearance and optimum weight distribution. Larger wheels with wider profile contribute to preservation of topsoil. Transmission provides stable motion on technological speeds of 3-4 km/h.

Also, special attention paid to ensuring the comfort of the driver and passengers. The trucks are equipped with an ergonomic three-seat cab with air-conditioned taken from the "Gazelle" light trucks. It has an adjustable steering wheel in both directions, ZF gearbox with joystick on the dashboard and the power takeoff. "Ermak" trucks are constructed using aggregate base of medium-duty trucks "Valdai". High strength frame and chassis improves the reliability of operation out of public roads. The frame design also makes easy to install any agricultural equipment. Basic set of special bodies includes: flatbed, dump truck with a 3 sides unloading, tanks for water and milk, crane, and the body for transportation of feed, supply of mineral and organic fertilizers, seed grain materials. 

 The Ermak range includes 3 versions. The first has a GVW of 3.5 tonnes, 4x2 chassis for use as personal transportation and for small businesses in rural areas. Engine is Cummins ISF 2,8. The second version with a GVW of 6 tons and 4x2 chassis is designed to transport and work in large and medium agricultural enterprises and farms. Engine is Cummins ISF 3,8. The third version has the same GVW of 6 ton, but all-wheel drive transmission. For the cheaper versions the Yaroslavl engine YMZ-534 and local transmission can be used.
