Mercedes-Benz » T2 series 709 / 710 / 912 / 914 / 1114

Brazilian light duty range is based on the T2 series of the European Mercedes-Benz. In 1988, a model 709 was presented. Later, in 1992, a model 912 with OM364 engine and GVW of 6.7 tons was introduced. The range included vehicles with GVW of 6.7, 9 and 11 tons and a payload from 4 to 7.6 tons. The 1114 model were produced as a 4x2 or 3-axle 6x2 version. The rear axle could be lifted. The suspension of 3-axle model is pneumatic with 2 cylinders. In 2003, this range was almost completely replaced by the Aceelo and Atego ranges. Only the one upgraded model 710 Plus is produced since 2004.
