After the renaming in 1954 the heavy series received new indices - L5500 became L315 and L6500 became L325. The design of trucks has not changed (externally can be distinguished only by windscreen wipers, installed from below, not from above as on the previous version). There was also a four-wheel drive LA version. In 1956 new versions were presented: lightweight 6.5-ton model L329 with 145 hp engine and the most powerful L / LP326 model with payload of 8,6-9,2 tons, equipped with a diesel engine OM326 (10,809 cm3, 192-200 hp) with four overhead valves per cylinder, fully synchronized transmission with a pneumatic control and steering booster. Totally about 50 thousand of such trucks have been produced.
