Hongyan » CQ260 / CQ261

In 1966 at the recently opened plant in Sichuan city with the help of French company Berliet production of the first Chinese all-wheel drive military truck was began. These trucks were used as prime movers for howitzers and as tank haulers (CQ261), and later, as a base for rocket launchers for 122 mm Type 81 rockets. In parallel, the same truck was produced under the brand Shaanxi (SX250 model). Trucks had two-row four-seater cabins, 6x6 wheel configuration, water-cooled diesel engines, 5-speed manual transmissions and dry clutch with pneumatic actuator.
